At Edinburgh Projector Hire (a division of Warpro group) we specialise in audiovisual systems which are suitable for use in boardroom presentations, be they Powerpoint based, from DVD or on any other medium. It is possible to directly wire up a PC or Mac notebook / laptop computer to a projector. Most modern notebooks have an external VGA output socket, many of them have S-video outputs which can be used as an alternative source for the electronic projector to utilise. Our our electronic projectors can be wired up directly to most other standard desktop personal computers or macs, simply be plugging the audio-visual input socket on the unit into the the monitor output on the computer. If your presentation requires the use of audio then this can be easily facilitated... modern projectors are generally not equipped with speakers but we do have a range of speaker systems available which can be connected up to the source unit (be it PC, Macintosh, DVD player, VHS recorder, etc) and operated in tandem with the projector. How best to do this depends upon which connectors are available but we have systems ranging from the small to the medium size. Large sound systems can be supplied too. On most occasions we will not dry hire sound systems as they can be prone to expensive damage when inexpertly setup, but by all means give us a call to discuss your requirements.
We are located in central Edinburgh which is handy for most people to collect, although we can arrange delivery and collection for a small fee (dependant upon distance) within the local area. We would generally ask that customers bring the their video source with them to our unit when collecting to enable an brief demo of the key features, and to ensure that the audio-visual projector is correctly configured. We can also ensure that the laptop / dvd player / video player is setup appropriately for use with the electronic presentation projector.
We do stock a range of accessories such as screens (tripod & fast fold) in various sizes. Assorted VHS, SVHS & DVD players, portable DVD players (with screen). Switching units, booster units, audio visual special effects processors, high resolution colour CCTV cameras etc. We have various stands and hanging brackets to enable ceiling mounting. In addition to a stright equipment hire, we are able to offer a range of services. Many customers require short DVD created displaying corporate logos, combined with text advertising events, or short animations sequences. These DVDs are fairly useful as they can authored to autoplay on insertion into the player, with an endless looping feature built in. It is often a good idea to disable all DVD menu items which stops the your DVD from being accidentally stopped. We can work from existing logos or sequences, adding in the desired information.
